My client is an established supplier of garage equipment offering the best service for workshops whether it is for installation, inspection, maintenance, breakdown repairs or calibrations. With more engineers than anyone else in the garage equipment industry they continue to expand their highly skilled workforce.


The Role:

Due to exceptional growth in the company, a new position has been created to merge the service and capital sales under one banner.  We are recruiting for a Sales Development Director to strategically lead and manage all sales activities for both equipment and service proposition to all customers.


The role will expect you to work from home but also visit the office at least once a week in West Yorkshire where the company are based from.  You will have 6 direct reports who each have their own teams. Key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Reporting to the CEO, you will lead and manage all sales functions within the company
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand both product and customer base
  • Grow existing sales channels further where applicable but also identify new opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong, long term customer relationships and be directly responsible for commercial agreements
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
  • Fulfil customer expectations in accordance with customer agreements
  • Authorisation of 6 direct reports
  • Report on revenue expectations and continually review order book and daily sales
  • Ensure all customer complaints relating to sales activities are resolved and completed.


  • Proven sales executive experience such as a sales manager, sales director, managing director
  • Garage equipment experience is necessary with at least 5 years experience selling garage equipment
  • Experience of managing a number a people
  • Leadership, organisational and people management skills are essential
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence at all levels both internally and externally
  • Commercial and financial awareness
  • Current UK driving licence and UK/EU passport and willing to travel


A fantastic package is on offer between £55-65,000 per annum + vehicle + bonus and the opportunity to join the largest company within its sector who are continuously growing .
