Client

My client is an established market leader in providing bespoke and innovative solutions to the Bakery market. The company designs, manufacturers, assembles, installs and commissions sophisticated systems all over the world.

We are looking for someone who will be an integral part of the team and be involved in projects that are both interesting and challenging.

The Role

The role is primarily programming a variety of PLC (Allen Bradley/Siemens/Mitsubishi) applications and have a good understanding and knowledge with PLC and HMI Programming. Liaising with customers and providing telephone support. Carrying out Risk Assessments and Method Statements. Able to provide leadership and direction to engineers within the electrical installation team. Carrying out installation testing with the relevant documentation, such as creating machine technical manuals.

The role is approximately 60% office based and 40% site based with worldwide travel.

Requirements

  • Experience in PLC programming (Allen Bradley/Siemens/Mitsubishi) is essential
  • HMI Programming (FactoryTalk, TIA, GT Designer, Proface)
  • Robot programming would be advantageous although not essential (ABB,Motoman)
  • Design of software control systems from user requirements, also from P&ID
  • A background working with special purpose machinery, ideally within the Bakery industry
  • A relevant qualification HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Willingness to work on site in the UK and overseas
  • Based within the Lancashire area
  • Must have your own transport and valid driving licence

Package

My client is offering a fantastic package of between £45-50,000 per annum, 38 hours per week, overtime when required, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, travel expenses.
