An exciting opportunity has arisen with the UK’s largest and leading garage equipment provider. We are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and proactive Account Manager for the Service side of the company.  You will primarily provide customer account management functions to a number of key customers selling and supporting the service contracts they offer.

The role

Primarily working from home/field based, you will be expected to attend the company head office in West Yorkshire twice a week (Monday and Tuesday).  The role involves essential account management and to be the first point of contact for the customer.  This will include proactively highlighting issues and providing solutions, understanding the needs and being able to provide a solution.  Further duties are as follows:

  • Proactively generate new enquiries for national and regional customers in all market sectors for service proposition.
  • Lead preparation and submission for service proposition involving quotations, tenders, correspondence, and communication for both existing and new customers.
  • Provide account management functions to support existing national and regional customers.
  • Understand the needs of the customer and provide solutions to problems.
  • Follow up enquiries and organise any necessary customer appointments.
  • Regularly attend customer account review meetings.
  • Suggest further proposition improvements based on the needs of the customer and help increase customer loyalty.
  • Achieve sales and margin targets for service proposition.
  • Ensure all customer complaints relating to service support functions are resolved and completed in a timely manner.
  • Support new equipment sales proposition where applicable.

 

Essential Skills

  • Advantageous to have previous experience of selling garage equipment
  • Minimum of 5 years sales/account management experience
  • Ability to work under your own initiative and proactive in problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills
  • UK Driving License
  • Some overnight stays may be necessary
  • Would need to attend the West Yorkshire office on Mondays and Tuesdays

Package

£30-35k annual salary, company vehicle, mobile, laptop, expenses, healthcare and pension scheme.
